The 2006 edition

The second edition of Warsaw Challenge – Open Warsaw Breakdance Championship took place on 13 and 14 May 2006, also at the amphitheater of Sowiński Park in Wola. First prize in the Breakdance contest went to Imprezy Towarzyszące Warsaw Challenge 2006:
• concerts of hip-hop bands – the top of hip-hop scene and stars from abroad,
• special extreme demonstrations performed by skaters and BMX riders on a specially-built 5m high ramp,
• graffiti jam
• hip-hop/funky “3 vs 3” girls dance tournament
• dance workshops
• special events for guests at clubs

Competition categories WARSAW CHALLENGE 2006:
• 8vs.8 breakdance competitions (each team presents no more than eight dancers)
The contest involved 24 teams, the prize for first place – 10 000 PLN
• HIP HOP / FUNKY 3vs3 girls competitions (each team consists of three dancers) – the prize for the first place 3000 PLN

Polish group, Azizi Hustlazz, won the Breakdance contest and Top Toys group from Koszalin won the hip-hop/new style contest. To this day concert of Saian Supa Crew is considered the best performance. Event was such a great social and media success, that in June 2006, acting President of Warsaw Mirosław Kochalski put “Warsaw Challenge – Open Warsaw Breakdance Championship” on the list of annual events in the capital city.
At that moment it was already the largest event of its kind in Poland.
